Musical
As part of our transition year we did a musical, our musical was called Legally Blonde. My part in the play was to dance in the background for a prison scene and I found it to be a lot more fun than I thought it was going to be. We spent almost every week after our Christmas holidays to the day of our play practising. We had a lot of help from Aisling to learn our dances and to make sure we were doing every dance properly.
Leading up up to the days of the real show of our play I was feeling a bit nervous because I had never done anything like this before and especially in front of a big crowd but while doing my scene I didn't feel nervous anymore and I felt like I didn't really notice that the crowd was there which helped me to enjoy it even more. While people were on stage everyone else stayed backstage in one of the classrooms and sometimes I would go into the hall to listen to the play. From doing this I learned a lot. I learned how to not think about what is happening too much and to get on with what I have to do without overthinking. I really enjoyed being in the play and I learned a lot as well.
